Different Components of a Concrete Batching Plant
Concrete Batching Mixing plant is a modern era machine used at construction sites for production of Concrete. Concrete plants are the basis need of construction projects now a days. Installing a concrete batching plants at construction site have many advantage briefed below:
1) High Production of Concrete : Concrete Batching plants can produce higher quantity of concrete in very less time. Concrete plants are having wide range of capacity starting from 20M³/hr to 120M³/hr.
2) Best Quality Concrete Production: Precise weighing of constituent materials & advance mixing technology provide high quality mixed-concrete. Concrete plants provide maximum homogeneity mixture with in very short time frame.
A concrete batching plant is a set of different component working in a pre-determined sequence to produce mixed-concrete. Each component fitted in a concrete plant had a vital role but a few Components a had a very important significance in production of concrete. Let us discuss in this blog.
A) Control Panel : This is known as the brain of Concrete batching plant. All the sequences & formatting is done through Control Panel. It is designed in such a way to provide a pre-determined sequence of processes executed from weighing of each raw material up to discharge of Mixed concrete. An advance control panel facility consist of a programmable software & hardware offset for execution of commands & controls.
B) Storage Bins or Compartments : These bins or compartments are used for storage of raw material like sand, gravel etc. Once Strorage Bins are filled, process of producing concrete gets started. Bins are having a definited material storing capacity & every constituent material is placed in a seperate bin.
C) Material Conveying Belt : These belts provide tranfer of weighed material to the mixing unit. Belt conveyors are framed in such a way that weighing of material is done at the belt conveyor.
D) Cement Screw Conveyor. Screw conveyors provides cement from storage hopper to weighing hopper.
E) Mixer Unit : After completion of weighing of all constituent materials & material conveying in to the mixer, finally mixing of all raw material to form concrete is processed in Mixer. A mixer unit provides movement to the raw material in a defined pattern to provide homogeneity to the mixture. Thus concrete formation takes place & gets discharge out of the outlet gate provided in the mixer unit. There are main three types of Mixer units namely Reversible Drum Mix, Pan Mix & Twin Shaft Mix. Depending on the quality of concrete required selection of Mixer unit is done.
Conclusion : With the growth & development in Infrastructure sector, empolyment of advance Concrete Batching Plants at construction projects is today's need. Selecting a good quality Concrete batching plant is very important for a construction project.
